DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. —

The man accused of shooting an Omaha police officer Monday appeared in court Tuesday for a separate domestic violence case.

Thirty-six-year-old Shedrick Mills was in Douglas County Court for charges stemming from a domestic incident that occurred months ago. Mills’ appearance was delayed, taking approximately 30 minutes to begin, with court officials saying he was being uncooperative.

Mills was taken into custody Monday morning, accused of shooting an officer at a QuikTrip off of 120th and Dodge. However, Tuesday’s court appearance focused on unrelated domestic violence charges.
