NEW YORK — Third time’s a charm?
The Yankees are sticking with the same starting lineup for Game 3 of the Division Series after two lousy losses against the Blue Jays to put their season on the brink.
That means Ben Rice is back at first base over Paul Goldschmidt.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone deliberated over starting Goldschmidt in Game 2 on Sunday in Toronto with phenom Trey Yesavage on the mound. Sure enough, the righty carved up Rice (and the rest of the Yankees’ lineup) over his 5 1/3 hitless frames with 11 strikeouts.
Right-hander Shane Bieber is on the mound for Toronto in Game 3 on Tuesday and this season, he also has reverse splits. Boone views the righty — who won a Cy Young Award earlie
