SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - One person has been injured after being struck by a school bus on Pine and Central Street in Springfield on Tuesday evening.

Springfield Fire Captain Drew Piemonte stated that crews were called to the area of Pine and Central Streets at approximately 5:30 p.m. for reports of a motor vehicle accident.

When 22News crews arrived in the area, police confirmed that a school bus was involved in the accident. It is unknown at this time if there were passengers on the school bus.
