Former Detroit Lions kicker Michael Badgley has found a new home in the NFL, signing with the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts announced the move on their social media channels. This will mark Badgley’s third stint with Indianapolis.

He originally signed with the team in 2018 after going undrafted but failed to make the 53-man roster. He later returned in 2021, appearing in 12 games for the Colts.

Badgley’s latest return comes after Colts kicker Spencer Shrader suffered a season-ending knee injury during their Week 5 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

A familiar face in Detroit, Badgley kicked for the Lions in 2022 and 2023. He was set to return for a third season after re-signing earlier this year but suffered a torn hamstring that sidelined him for all of 2024.
