DES MOINES, Iowa —
A neighbor of former Des Moines Public Schools superintendent Ian Roberts, who was arrested by ICE on Sept. 26 , has spoken out, expressing concerns about Roberts' past and questioning his role in the community.
The neighbor, who did not want to be identified, said he tried to warn the district about Roberts more than a year ago.
"When news broke Friday, I was not shocked," the neighbor said.
The neighbor, who lives in Roberts' Easter Lake neighborhood was not surprised when Roberts was arrested.
"I woke up to the police chase and the incident that happened in the morning on Friday, not knowing it was Ian involved," he said.
Upon realizing federal agents were investigating Roberts, he had many questions.
"I would question whether or not he actually did any good
