The City of Kissimmee has selected a partner to transform and redevelop an area of Vine Street into a new urban hub.
During a city council meeting on Tuesday, the city selected Vine Street Redevelopment, LLC as the project's proposed Master Developer. Vine Street Redevelopment, LLC is a partnership between CapStrata and Hedrick Brothers Development. The city is now negotiating a Master Development Agreement to define the project's timeline.
Preliminary plans for the 22-acre site, a former K-Mart located at 2211 W Vine Street, envision a "vibrant, mixed-use destination with approximately 630 new residential units, more than 51,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, and a 73,400-square-foot indoor sports facility designed to serve as a community hub," according to a release from t
