LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) -- The East Texas Literacy Council in Longview has opened a resource closet for students and community members, providing essential items to help them become job or college-ready.

The resource closet offers a variety of items, including clothes, shoes and supplies, aiming to support individuals in taking their next step towards the workforce or higher education.

"We want our students to have that boutique experience and be able to come in and shop and get everything that they need and it not just be hand-me-downs or something that they're just rummaging through a pile," East Texas Executive Director Natasha Duncan said. "We want them to feel like they're dressed for success and ready to go out."
