HARTFORD, Conn. — More recognition for the Hartford Yard Goats arrived with the conclusion of the 2025 minor league season.

Minor League Baseball announced Monday that the Yard Goats organization is the winner of its “Driving Diversity Award.”

The news broke at the Minor League Baseball Business Summit in Indianapolis. The Yard Goats emerged victorious over 119 other full season affiliated minor league teams across the United States and Canda at four levels.

Nominees from each league were chosen by their peers. The award was created to recognize a club that makes a meaningful effort to welcome fans of all backgrounds to its park by coordinating a variety of programs intended to reach local minority groups.
