BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) — Two Bay Minette teens were honored by the Bay Minette City Council for their part in rescuing a man and rendering aid following a boat crash in August, a City of Bay Minette news release said.

The City Council, during a recent meeting, honored Hunter Robertson and Devon Pfeffer for their "quick-thinking actions" on Aug. 16.

According to the release, Hunter and Devon were fishing on the Tensaw River when they became aware of a nearby boat crash that had resulted in a family of three being thrown into the water, including a two-year-old child.

The father in the boat was then hit by the boat's propeller, critically injuring him. The two teens rushed to the scene and began to give aid to the father, pulling him from the water and applying a tourniquet using a towe
