LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Calcasieu Parish school employees will receive a boost in pay.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board approved pay supplements in a meeting on Oct. 7.

According to the school board, this year, teachers will receive an extra $8,570, while support staff will get an extra $6,000.
