Over at Toby’s on College, Chris Igglesden and Varsha Unesh are sticking with what worked. Igglesden and Unesh were here for Games 1 and 2 — sitting at the same exact table, in fact — so they’ve returned to keep the good luck going. So far, it’s working.

Thomas Watson is wearing the same hat he wore for Games 1 and 2. He collects sports pins, and his hat is covered with them. He’s also wearing the same José Bautista shirt underneath his jersey that he wore for the first two games. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

In 1992 and ’93, Igglesden lived at Yonge and Carlton and remembers the celebration in the city that year.

“The worst part was I had to listen to horns for 18 hours,” Igglesden said.
