NEW ORLEANS — A week into the partial U.S. government shutdown, impacts are spreading across Louisiana — from airports to food assistance to home sales.
Some of the nation's largest airports are experiencing travel delays due to shortages of air traffic controllers and TSA agents — essential workers required to work without pay.
Armstrong International in New Orleans reports no significant impacts yet, but travelers are clearly worried.
"It's just something right now you just have to deal with because everyone can't come to an agreement on how to make the country keep going again," said traveler Shawn Gaines.
