Police say they have foiled an organised crime hit set to be carried out near a daycare centre after intercepting an alleged ”kill team” in Sydney’s South-West, calling them “cowards”.
Providing fresh details of the extraordinary arrests of three men carried out on Tuesday in front of shocked onlookers, police revealed the men were allegedly “mobilising to carry out an offence” when officers swarmed two cars after routine surveillance in the Condell Park area.
Around 3.50pm, two vehicles were stopped on The River Road at Revesby with support from the Tactical Operations Unit, Pol Air, Dog Squad, and State Intelligence Command.
In dramatic footage, police arrested two men – aged 18 and 19, from one car. A third 26-year-old man was arrested in a second car nearby.
