One win away from a trip to the American League Championship Series, the Mariners will give the ball to Bryce Miller to start Game 4 on Wednesday in Detroit, they announced after Tuesday's 8-4 win .
It will be the first postseason appearance for Miller, Seattle's fourth-round pick in the 2021 MLB Draft. Since his big league debut in 2023, the 27-year-old right-hander has a career 4.01 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP in 74 outings.
Miller missed two months of this season while on the injured list with right elbow inflammation, but since his return on Aug. 19, he has pitched at least five innings in all but one of his starts.
