A standing-room-only crowd was packed inside the Seminole County School Board meeting Tuesday night as emotions ran high over an incident involving a Sabal Point Elementary School paraprofessional.

That paraprofessional quit amid an investigation into threats he said he thought about and was afraid he may carry out against a 6-year-old student. At Tuesday's board meeting, parents and other community members voiced their frustration over how the school district handled the situation.

"How many times have you swept something under the rug to protect yourself...," PTA President Emily Reardon said before being drowned out by applause from the audience.

The school board tried to bring order back, but it did not last long.
