DETROIT — Eugenio Suárez only got one call on Tuesday after arriving in Detroit for Game 3 of the American League Division Series matchup between his Seattle Mariners and the Detroit Tigers.

It was from friend and former Tigers teammate Miguel Cabrera.

The Detroit legend apparently gave Suárez an inkling of an appearance at Comerica Park Tuesday night, where the Mariners would take a 2-1 lead in the series with an 8-4 victory.

Lo and behold, the Venezuelan duo had the chance to be reunited, briefly, on the same field they once shared when “Miggy” threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game.

“He’s a superhero here in Detroit. They love him,” Suárez said after the game. “I feel good when I see Miggy throw the first pitch tonight. It’s awesome to see him back here in Detroit.
