GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD) — Police and neighbors in Georgetown came together Tuesday night for a little food, fun, and community connection during this year’s National Night Out celebration.

The Georgetown Police Department and Sheriff’s Office hosted the annual event at East Bay Park creating an evening filled with laughter, music, and good conversation aimed at strengthening relationships between law enforcement and residents.

“It’s National Night Out 2025 and we’ve been doing this for years,” said Sheriff Carter Weaver with the Georgetown Sheriff’s Office. “We’ve been partnering with the Georgetown Police Department and drawing community members from all over Georgetown County and the City of Georgetown to an event just like this.”
