ALPENA — The Alpena Wildcats faced a tough challenge Friday night against the undefeated Gaylord Blue Devils, falling 41-0 on the road in a physical Big North Conference matchup.

From the opening drive, Gaylord set the tone with an 80-yard march down the field capped by a 13-yard touchdown run from Jaron Bensinger, establishing control early. Despite Alpena’s efforts to push through Gaylord’s defensive line, the Wildcats struggled to move the ball consistently and were met with strong tackles that halted momentum before drives could build.
