British pensioners will be able to tour three of King Charles’s official residences for the bargain price of just £1 ($2.00 AUD), Buckingham Palace has announced.
The Royal Collection Trust (RCT) is preparing to throw open the doors to Windsor Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Royal Mews for the Christmas period.
From November 2025 to January 2026, the residences will be open to tourists with funds generated by the RCT used to finance the care and conservation of the palaces and their contents.
Tickets for Windsor Castle currently go for between £31.00 and £35.00 ($63.00 - $70.00 AUD), but the RCT has announced that pensioners will be given a discounted price of just £1 ($2.00 AUD).
The initiative applies to visitors on the following benefits: Universal Credit, Working Tax Cr
