A 15-year-old Gettysburg boy was arrested and charged as an adult last month after police said he punched a man’s tooth out during a bloody attack at a park, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Around 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 28, Gettysburg police were dispatched to Recreation Park, located at 545 Long Lane, for an assault.
Officers spoke with the victim — a man with blood on his hands, mouth, nose and clothing — who said one of his top-middle teeth was knocked out as he was attacked.
A witness initially told police a pair of teenagers, “no younger than 17,” were responsible for the attack.
After speaking with two juveniles uninvolved in the incident at their homes, police learned 15-year-old Zamir Brantley ran through a nearby neighborhood after the attack.
