FRANCESTOWN, N.H. —

Three people are dead after a crash in Francestown, Fire Chief Larry Kullgren told News 9.

The crash happened late Tuesday night on Bennington Road, also known as Route 47, at the intersection with School House Road.

A car went off the road and slammed into a utility pole, knocking out power to most of the town, according to Kullgren. State police were on scene doing accident reconstruction early Wednesday morning.

Officials said crews from Eversource were also on scene working to repair the pole. As of 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, 95% of customers in Francestown were without power.

Authorities have not yet released any information about the victims, and it's not clear what led up to the crash.
