A royal historian claims Prince William's recent comments "shouldn't be seen" as critical of King Charles.

William spoke to Eugene Levy on AppleTV+ and said he plans to change the monarchy when he's king.

King Charles is allegedly not speaking to his son, and is very upset over the interview.

Prince William and King Charles are reportedly not on speaking terms thanks to William's recent AppleTV+ interview with Eugene Levy, and it's a whooooole thing.

However! Royal historian and expert Robert Lacey tells People that William's recent musings (he spoke at length about modernizing the monarchy) "shouldn’t be seen as criticism of King Charles." He also added that the Prince of Wales is "very close to his father and has been his most important supporter."
