UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is in India for a two-day official visit with a strong delegation of over 100 British entrepreneurs focussed on strengthening trade and investment partnership with the country.

Representatives of prominent British entities such as Rolls Royce, British Telecom, Diageo, London Stock Exchange and British Airways are part of Starmer’s delegation.

India and the UK signed a free trade agreement (FTA) earlier this year which aims to double bilateral trade by 2030. The UK PM is keen on ensuring that industry on both sides is well positioned to utilise the pact once it is ratified by the British Parliament, sources said.
