W illiams Field High School students now have a more spacious criminal justice facility where they can gain real-world training in law enforcement, forensics, dispatch, court services, and corrections.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new facility on Sept. 26 was buzzing with passionate students, district leaders, Town of Gilbert officials, and law enforcement partners.

What used to be cramped into multiple small classrooms is now a large, comprehensive facility renovated from existing, underutilized space.

At the heart of the new facility is a mock courtroom, with breakout labs branching off to give students hands-on experience as they rotate through a forensics lab, police training simulator, corrections area with cells, dispatch and security, and an outdoor training space
