At least seven people were injured on Tuesday after an explosion on a railway track derailed four four bogies of the Jaffar Express in Sultan Kot, a location between Shikarpur and Jacobabad in Pakistan – marking the latest in a series of attacks on the train in the last few months.

Pakistan railways minister Hanif Abbasi blamed India for the series of attacks on the Jaffar Express, as he suggested foreign involvement, according to a report by Pakistan-based Dawn. He insisted that railway services would not be suspended in the wake of the incident.
