Liam Gallagher had a surprise message for Gareth Southgate after England's exit from Euro 1996.

The Three Lions were beaten on penalties by Germany in their semi-final at Wembley Stadium.

Southgate missed the crucial spot-kick with his effort saved by Andreas Kopke.

The devastated defender was consoled by his team-mates on the pitch following his infamous miss.

However, Andy Townsend has revealed Oasis star Gallagher had a very different reaction.

Southgate had been an Aston Villa team-mate of Townsend's at the time.
