The headteacher’s office at Chankhanga Community Day Secondary School was broken into by unknown criminals, who made off with several valuable school items, including electronic devices.

Kasungu Police Public Relations Officer, Joseph Kachikho, confirmed that the incident occurred during the night of Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

According to Kachikho, the suspects gained forced entry into the office and stole five laptops, six tablets, two Toshiba external hard drives, and a number of textbooks.

“Police have since launched investigations to trace and arrest the suspects behind the break-in,” Kachikho stated.

He further appealed to members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist the police in apprehending the culprits and recovering the stolen property.
