Cavaliers urged to trade for 3-point marksman amid championship push

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been urged to trade for a sharpshooter to build out their roster depth prior to what it hopes will be its first championship season in a decade.

After seeing their East-best 64-18 run in 2024-25 fizzle out during the second round of the playoffs this past spring, a resilient Cleveland opted not to do much in the offseason.

The Cavaliers let sixth man guard Ty Jerome walk in free agency, replacing him with 3-and-D point guard Lonzo Ball in a one-for-one trade that saw them ditching little-used wing Isaac Okoro.
