CGC Landran’s Abhinav Uniyal appointed Google Developer Group Lead

Chandigarh, October 8, 2025: Abhinav Uniyal, a B.Tech 3rd-year student pursuing Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at College of Engineering (COE), CGC Landran, has been appointed as the new Google Developer Group (GDG) Lead for the 2025-26 term.

He succeeds Deepti Midha and will be responsible for overseeing the GDG chapter’s activities on campus at CGC Landran. Abhinav has been involved with the GDG community at CGC Landran since joining as a core team member.

He progressed to the management team, served as Management Head and was GDG Co-Lead for 2024-25. His appointment followed a multi-stage selection process, including submission of a written application detailing his motivation, leadership
