On the sacred occasion of Sri Guru Ram Das Ji’s Gurpurab, a helicopter showered rose petals over the parikrama of Sri Harmandir Sahib, taking off from Guru Nanak Dev University. The helicopter, which began its flight from the university’s sports ground around 1 pm, circled the Golden Temple 13 times, spreading flowers in a gesture of reverence.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Karamjeet Singh extended heartfelt greetings to the Sikh community on this auspicious occasion. He described it as a matter of great pride and privilege for the university to contribute to this sacred service of showering rose petals over Sri Darbar Sahib. “The teachings of Sri Guru Ram Das Ji, emphasizing service, humility, and love, continue to inspire us,” he said.
