Aussie reality star and author Brooke Blurton has revealed what prompted her to finally make the long journey to the UK to meet her sister for the first time.

In an emotional post to social media two weeks ago, the former Bachelorette star opened up about her older sister Rhiannon who she had only ever met virtually.

The 30-year-old shared that she would be flying to meet her sister after maintaining a purely online relationship since they were children.

Blurton explained exactly why the timing felt right, citing the break down of her relationship with ex-girlfriend Mia Pimentel as the reason why she chose to embrace the family relationship she felt had been neglected.
