MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The City of Madison Alders unanimously approved the latest set of housing proposals that are designed to make it easier to build all types of housing around the city.
The measures, along with the Housing Forward proposals also passed unanimously over the summer, will open the door to potentially thousands of new residential lots and housing opportunities throughout the city.
The proposals passed include clarifying height transitions, making adjustments to lot area, lot width and attached garage rear setback minimums to make it easier to build smaller housing, according to the City of Madison.
The proposals were supported by numerous community organizations, including 1,000 Friends of Wisconsin, AARP Wisconsin, Centro Hispano, The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerc
