NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) - Rep. Rosa DeLauro will host a tele-town hall Wednesday evening to discuss health care cuts, including expiring Affordable Care Act tax credits and changes to Medicare and Medicaid programs.
The event, scheduled for 5:30 p.m., comes ahead of Medicare and Access Health CT’s open enrollment period.
DeLauro is advocating to extend the tax credits and preserve Medicare and Medicaid funding in a government funding bill.
The congresswoman will be joined by Judy Stein, founder of the Center for Medicare Advocacy, and Susan Rich-Bye, director of legal and governmental affairs for Access Health CT.
The discussion will focus on potential cuts to health care programs, including Connecticut’s HUSKY Medicaid program, amid ongoing government funding negotiations.
