HOUSTON (CW39) — Over in Galveston this morning, skies are bright with beautiful clouds over the Gulf — and conditions are staying dry for now.
While the coast looks calm, the Houston area could see scattered rain and thunderstorms later today. Those rain chances will build in this afternoon, mainly between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m..
By Thursday, we can expect plenty of sunshine across Southeast Texas with no rain in the forecast. The dry pattern continues into Friday and Saturday, but a 10% chance of showers returns Sunday evening, likely after dinner.
Monday and Tuesday are expected to stay dry and warm. Meteorologists are also tracking rising temperatures and breezy conditions heading into the weekend.
