A new effort in Montana to address stubborn health disparities in rural and tribal communities is taking shape and will launch early next year.
Community Health Corps Montana , a new program that looks to close healthcare and workforce gaps in rural and tribal communities throughout the state, will place 14 early-career professionals at hospitals, tribal or county health departments or social service nonprofits for an eight-month term. Kicking off in January, the program is made possible through a partnership between the governor’s office, Montana State University and AmeriCorps.
