HOUSTON (CW39) — It’s been a hot week across Houston, with temperatures climbing close to record highs for early October.
On Tuesday, Houston officially matched a record set back in 1956, reaching 95 degrees — now added to the 2025 record books.
Today’s high is expected to reach around 94 degrees, just shy of the 96-degree record set in 1962. Looking ahead to Thursday, forecasts call for highs near 91 degrees, not far from the 2017 record of 94 degrees.
Meteorologist Allison Gutleber said Houston could continue flirting with record heat as the week goes on before conditions cool slightly heading into the weekend.
