PEORIA, Ill. – The head of Peoria’s Pathway Ministries is getting ready to spend 24 hours on a bench.
In conjunction with World Homelessness Day, Pathway Ministries’ Jon Rocke says he’ll be there to raise awareness, joining around 70 other missions nationwide in the effort.
“We’re going to be having what we’re calling Conversations on a Bench. And so, I’m going to be sitting out in front of the ministry…down at 601 SW Adams, and I’m going to be on that bench for 24 hours straight,” Rocke says.
He tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan” he’ll begin the 24-hour stint in front of Pathway Ministries on Thursday at 2 p.m.
