FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) - Convicted murderer Taylor Schabusiness was wheeled into a Fond du Lac County courtroom in shackles to enter a new plea to a charge of attacking an officer at Taycheedah Correctional.

Schabusiness agreed to plead to an amended charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

A judge set sentencing for Monday, December 1.

The hearing lasted 7 minutes.

Before the plea deal, Schabusiness faced a three-day trial later this month on a charge of Battery by a Prisoner, with a repeat offender enhancer.

The felony charge carries up to 6 years in prison, though Schabusiness is serving life without parole for the murder of Shad Thyrion in Green Bay in 2022.
