Belleville Police have made an arrest after an incident in the west end of the city.
On Tuesday, just before 8:45 pm, officers responded to a home in the west end after a call for a family dispute. During the call, police were told that a man had been physically fighting his mother before fleeing the home.
On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who said that after a verbal argument escalated, she was thrown to the floor, choked and punched. Officers also saw broken glass, damaged plant pots, and a smashed TV in the home.
