During this week’s meeting of Big 12 Conference athletic directors in Dallas, Chad Weiberg was there to represent Oklahoma State.

The next meeting of the league’s ADs happens during the spring.

Will Weiberg represent OSU at that time?

It was unusual when Oklahoma State allowed Weiberg’s contract to expire on June 30, and it’s been doubly unusual that he has worked without a contract for three months.

Oklahoma State is two weeks into its search for a coach who can fix its severely damaged football situation, and the person in charge of that search – Weiberg – still does not have a contract.

It’s obvious that some influential people support Weiberg and others do not.

This is where actual leadership would be applied and get this resolved.
