FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A Providence man has been convicted and sentenced after to pleading guilty to OUI charges in a 2024 head-on crash that left an elderly man significantly injured.

According to the Bristol County DA’s office, Anthony Flores, 27, pleaded guilty on September 25 to charges of:

Operating under the influence causing serious bodily injury

Reckless operation of a motor vehicle

Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon

He was sentenced to two-and-a-half to four years in state prison with two years probation upon release.

The incident occurred on April 20, 2024 on South Main Street in Freetown, where arriving officers investigated a two-car crash at approximately 5:30 p.m.
