A 43-year-old man is in custody in connection with the suspected slaying of a 70-year-old homeless man .

Jeffrey Taiwan Eutsay, also homeless, was expected to meet with investigators and to be booked into the county jail, according to Chief of Staff Lewis Blanchard with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office in a statement Tuesday morning.

Authorities sought Eutsay after a man that the Richmond County Coroner's Office identified as Charlie Creech, 70, was found about 2 p.m. Tuesday behind the Chevron gas station at the corner of Laney-Walker Boulevard and 15th Street.
