NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — New York City agencies have thousands of jobs open waiting for you to apply.

One agency alone, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), has 507 current full-time openings listed on the Jobs NYC website.

There are numerous openings at the DEP with salaries that eclipse six figures.

The Excavation and Drilling Section Chief position pays up to $192,000 to protect the city's drinking water and sewer systems. Distribution Area Engineers can make up to $146,000 annually, as long as they meet the requirement of having the title of administrative engineer.

New York City residency is not required for either position.
