NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Hundreds of women who used Depo-Provera and later developed brain tumors are suing Pfizer.

Miller & Zois, Attorneys at Law, is one of the few firms interviewing women who have received at least two injections of Depo-Provera and were later diagnosed with a meningioma, a non-cancerous brain tumor.

A page set up for women considering joining the class-action lawsuit cites new studies showing evidence that Depo-Provera can cause meningiomas.

Multiple studies found in the National Institutes of Health, Drexel University, and the British Medical Journal have found that prolonged use of the drug may be associated with meningioma.
