NORMAN — Danny Okoye shot off the line of scrimmage like a cannon.
Early in the second quarter of OU’s game against Kent State last Saturday, the talented redshirt freshman defensive lineman juked a Golden Flashes right tackle and beelined it for quarterback Devin Kargman, swallowing him up with one arm.
“That was great, I noticed Danny,” Sooners coach Brent Venables said. “He did a great job early in the game, got a sack. He’s got a big, live body and is super explosive and athletic, and he’s becoming a really good player.”
