Over 40 LPG cylinders exploded one after another on the busy Jaipur-Ajmer Highway near Mokhampura on Tuesday around 10:30 pm after a chemical-laden tanker rammed into a parked truck carrying the cylinders triggering a massive blaze. The fire and explosions could be seen and heard from kilometres away.

Officials said on Wednesday that the tanker driver, identified as Ramraj Meena (35), was charred alive while five others sustained injuries. Around five vehicles parked near the LPG truck were also engulfed in the flames. However, the chemical in the tanker did not catch fire which prevented any further blasts in the vicinity.
