As cold and flu season sets in, a poll of 2,000 adults revealed a generational divide in how people care for themselves when they’re unwell.
Gen Zers, typically those between the ages of 18 to 28, are more likely to take time off work to rest and recover, with 55% comfortable doing so. By contrast, only 30% of Baby Boomers, those between 61 to 79, would do the same, suggesting many still follow the ‘keep calm and carry on’ mindset pushing through illness, rather than taking the time to recuperate.
Gen Z are more likely to take a break from socialising, exercise and household chores, with 83% believing that slowing down actually speeds up recovery.
