Police have issued a major update after gunshots were blasted at a house in a horror incident in Salford on Monday night (October 6).

At least seven bullet holes were pictured in the upstairs window, the downstairs window, and the front door of a block of flats on Lissadel Street after police had been called to a firearms discharge between 8.45pm and 9pm.

Forensics also attended the scene, cordoning off an area including a row of properties near the junction with Broughton Road throughout Tuesday (October 7). A major investigation was launched into the incident.

In an update, Greater Manchester Police confirmed five men have been arrested in connection with the shooting. The suspects, aged 20, 22, 24, 28
