The 2025 New York State Fair came up just short of 1 million visitors, but that’s not the only number to look at.

Fair officials today released some numerical highlights, ranging from cows and milk to doughnuts and concert fans.

This year’s fair, which ran from Aug. 20 to Sept. 1, took place during a span of relatively dry weather (with a few storms here and there). That helped it draw 925,989 fairgoers, the second time the crowds exceeded 900,000 since Covid cancelled the 2020 fair.

The all-time record attendance still stands at 1,329,275. That was set in 2019, the year before the Covid pandemic.

The Dairy Cattle Birthing Center welcomed 29 newborn calves this year. That brings the total 425 calves born
