The Indiana Pacers recently played their first preseason game of the 2025-26 NBA season against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The game was a success, but it also brought disappointment for the Pacers as Delon Wright suffered an injury that caused bleeding during the game.

The Pacers acquired Wright on September 27, 2025. During the second quarter of the game against the Timberwolves at Target Centre, Wright was dribbling at the halfcourt ahead of Anthony Edwards.
